Man admits running illegal street gambling game

A vagrant has pleaded guilty to running a 'ball in the cup' street gambling game in Windsor's shopping district.

Cristian-Vasile Nanu, of no fixed abode, admitted illegally providing gambling facilities in Peascod Street on Saturday, August 18, at Slough Magistrates' Court on Monday last week.

The 32-year-old was ordered by magistrates not to enter Berkshire for 12 months as part of a community order.

He was also told to pay costs of £85 by Monday to the Crown Prosecution Service.
