Boys from the school in Priest Hill took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge (IMC) which involves answering 25 multiple choice questions.
The brain busters won 20 awards including one of 118 prestigious gold awards, won by John Chang.
Head of maths Claire Murphy said: ‘It is wonderful to see the passion for numeracy and mathematics that runs through St John’s.
“We are really proud of them.”
