The event, organised by the Lions Club of Windsor, is in it's 39th year and has helped to raise £2m for good causes.
It consists of a nine-mile course through the Great Park for advanced, novice, and non-jumping riders, with up to 30 fences of varying heights for those who wish to jump.
Event organiser Mark Fraser said: "We are delighted with the entry this year with 500 riders as our first target and with a week still to go it is clear we will be well over that.
"We are on track to raise a great deal of money for local charities and other good causes – that's what the event is about, raising money and having fun."
Visit www.windsorlions.co.uk if you'd like to enter the event which takes place on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14.
