The first ever night market in Windsor will go ahead with a number of tempting food and drink stalls.
Children's rides and street entertainers will also be at the event which takes place in Peascod Street on Saturday, September 13 from 6.30pm to 11pm.
The idea came from the Royal Borough's Bright Idea Challenge Prize competition in 2013 after Maidenhead resident Jeff Lloyd relayed his experiences of night markets while on holiday in Europe.
A night market event was held in Maidenhead High Street in July which was considered a ‘huge success’.
Cllr Natasha Airy (Con, Park), challenge prize judge and mentor, said: "I am extremely excited that a night market is coming to Windsor.
"The one in Maidenhead earlier this summer was a huge success and hundreds of people turned out. It was a fantastic evening and I'm sure Windsor will get the same enthusiastic crowd."
This year's Bright Idea Challenge Prize is looking for entries for adults' and junior categories, with first prizes awarded £800 and £100 respectively.
The deadline is Monday, September 15, for adults and Monday, September 22, for juniors.
