A Christmas extravaganza will be taking place in Windsor in the next few months as the town will host up to 60 event days.
Speaking at the Windsor Town Forum last night, town manager, Paul Roach, confirmed the Daniel store in Peascod Street will host the town’s official grotto and the living advent calendar will also return.
The annual Reindeer parade will return to the High Street on December 6.
Negotiations are also currently underway with shops about staying open longer at night which according to Mr Roach would have ‘great benefits for shoppers’.
“We have been working with retailers and shops to try and convince them to stay open until 8pm.
“We have had an 80 per cent response which has been positive towards the idea for a late night offer on December 11 and 18.
“However the council have been asked to provide entertainment and activities to attract people in the evening,” he added.
