Pooches at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in Old Windsor helped to 'test-drive' a brand new van which has been donated to the centre.
A Citroen Dispatch Enterprise was donated by company Vanarama and will help staff at the Priest Hill centre transport animals and supplies to the London centre.
The previous van had been made redundant due to London's low emission zone.
Battersea's centre manager Kaye Mughal said: "We rely on the generosity of the public and companies like Vanarama so we can continue to care for so many animals that come to us through no fault of their own.
"Not only is this van crucial to our daily work, it also has fantastic Battersea branding so it will remind animal lovers across the country of the help we provide to abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats."
