Raincoat-clad walkers braved the elements to take part in The Twilight Walk in Windsor to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity.
It began at Windsor Leisure Centre, in Stovell Road, with a speech by organiser Sarah Lindsell, the charity's chief executive, on how vital their efforts were.
She said: "Every single penny you raise will go towards research."
Walker Karen Ackling, 54, from Windsor, whose husband Kevin died two years ago from a brain tumour, said: "When you look at the sea of red T-shirts behind and in front of you, it's a moment.
"It gives you a real sense of camaraderie and feels like a family."
The event raised more than £50,000.
