Shamed entertainer Rolf Harris has had his application for permission to appeal against his five-year and nine month prison sentence for 12 counts of indecent assault turned down.
The Judicial Office confirmed today that his application, which was lodged in August, had been turned down by a judge.
Australian-born 84-year-old Harris can still renew the application before three judges at the Court of Appeal.
The artist and presenter, who lived in Fishery Road, Bray, was jailed for five years and nine months on July 4, after a Southwark Crown Court jury found him guilty of assaulting four girls, aged between seven or eight and 19.
The offences took place between 1968 and 1986.
