Alleged Windsor fraudster pleads not guilty

Philip Dewey

Reading Crown Court
A suspected fraudster and thief from Windsor will face trial after pleading not guilty to fraud.

Grant Farrell, of Clarence Road, has been charged with three counts of fraud by false representation at Windsor Swimming Club in Barry Avenue.

The 50-year-old is also charged with three counts of false accounting and five counts of theft at Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Pococks Lane, Eton.

The alleged offences are believed to have taken place between March 2007 and March 2012.

Farrell appeared at Reading Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on Friday where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He has been remanded on conditional bail to appear at the same court on December 1 with a trial date set for January 5.
