Judges have praised the Windsor, Ascot & Eton Express at an awards competition highlighting excellence in journalism.
The Express was shortlisted in the EDF Energy London and South of England Media Awards 2014 held in Brighton today.
It was nominated in the Weekly Newspaper of the Year (Free) category.
The Kent on Sunday took the top award but judges awarded a 'highly commended' certificate to The Express.
They praised the newspaper's story count, the quality of its sport and entertainment, its Call to Arms supplement marking the centenary of the First World War and the Together We Can Build It children's hospice campaign.
The panel said the newspaper 'really chimed with readers'.
Its sister title, the Slough & South Bucks Express, won the award last year.
Held in association with HoldtheFrontPage, the awards honour the best in journalism across London, Kent, East and West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Dorset.
