Police and fire crews were called to the River Thames near to Windsor Town Bridge at 8.58am today after the barge had crashed into the weir.
A water rescue unit was used to retrieve the barge which has been left with the lock keeper and the Environment Agency has been called to assist.
No one was in the barge when it capsized.
