The Volkswagen Golf is the most stolen car in Windsor and Maidenhead.
Data released under the Freedom of Information Act reveals 34 Golfs were stolen in the Royal Borough between 2009/10 and the end of the last financial year.
Vauxhalls and Fords are also popular targets for thieves, with 30 Astras, 19 Corsas, 18 Fiestas and 16 Escorts taken in the same period.

In Thames Valley Police’s patch only Milton Keynes, Slough and Reading saw more car thefts in the five year time period, with 1,484, 1,289 and 1,071 respectively
But the number of thefts has dropped in the borough.
In 2013-14 78 cars were stolen in the area, compared to 110 in 2012-13, 151 2011/12 and 250 in 2010/11.
