Budget and council tax proposals to be discussed at meeting tonight

Budget and council tax proposals to be discussed at meeting tonight

Lucy Elder

The 2015/16 budget is set to be discussed at a Royal Borough meeting tonight.

The planning and housing overview and scrutiny panel is set to consider a report on proposals for the budget and council tax for the coming financial year before it goes before the borough's decision making cabinet.

Once the budget has been set before the cabinet on February 12, it will go to the full council at a meeting on February 24.

Other matters set to be discussed at the meeting in Maidenhead Town Hall tonight include:

  • A report on a draft conservation area appraisal for inner Windsor, Clarence Road and Trinity Place that is requesting cabinet approval to go out to public consultation.
  • The borough's response to the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) consultation seeking changes to national planning policy in relation to a proposal to introduce a Starter Homes scheme.
The meeting is due to take place tonight at 7pm in the Desborough Suite.
