A young Windsor magician has moved a step closer to becoming The Magic Circle’s Young Magician of the Year.
15-year-old Dean Leavy progressed from the heats of the national competition after he wowed judges with his coin magic and gambling tricks last Sunday, February 15.
He will now compete against six other finalists for the chance to win the coveted prize of full membership of The Magic Circle.
If Dean wins, he will have to wait a few years to cash in his prize as The Magic Circle does not admit members under the age of 18.
A bursary to attend a magic camp in the USA is also up for grabs in the final.
Dean said: “I’ve sorted out a whole new act so it’s going to be different. It would be amazing to win.”
The final will take place at The Magic Circle’s Headquarters in London on Sunday, March 29.
