Paedophile Rolf Harris has been stripped of his Australian honours after the disgraced entertainer was jailed for indecent assault.
A statement released by the Australian government said 'the Governor-General has terminated the appointments of Officer and Member of the Order of Australia in the General Division' for the 84-year-old.
The Australian-born entertainer, who lived in Bray, was jailed in July for five years and nine months after being convicted of 12 indecent assault charges.
The convictions relate to assaults on four girls aged seven to 19 between 1968 and 1986.
Harris was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1989, before the title was advanced to Officer (AO) in 2012.
