Royal Windsor Racecourse has announced leading Berkshire-based trainer Andrew Balding as its ambassador for the 2015 Monday night race season.
The role will see him provide paddock commentary before selected race fixtures at Royal Windsor this year.
Punters should also look out for the trainer’s regular Monday morning column, Balding’s Bankers, which will be available at www.windsorracecourse.co.uk before racing.
A series of competitions will also be run by Royal Windsor giving racegoers the chance to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Andrew’s Park House Stables at Kingsclere.
Andrew, whose sister is TV presenter Clare Balding, said: “Evening racing at Windsor is a terrific way to start the week. I am delighted to be the ambassador for the racecourse this season and am looking forward to enjoying the relaxing evening atmosphere as well as hopefully saddling some winners.”
Royal Windsor’s Monday night season begins on Monday and runs throughout the summer, finishing on Monday, August, 17.
