LOCAL ELECTIONS 2015: Lib Dem candidates in the Royal Borough

With the local elections just days, we're asking candidates standing for a seat on the Royal Borough council to submit biographies about themselves so you can know a little bit more about them.

We are aiming to put up biographies for as many candidates as possible, published on a party-by-party basis.

Bios for Labour, the Conservatives, Green Party, UKIP candidates in Maidenhead, and indepedent candidates have also been published.

Please email your submission to jamesp@baylismedia.co.uk before 5pm on Wednesday, May 6 if you wish your biography to be included in our coverage.

Tamasin Barnbrook

Tamasin has lived in Ascot for nearly 10 years since moving their with her partner David, a professional golfer. She also has a 9-year-old son.


Belmont

 Helen Craggs: 

Climate Researcher who has lived in Belmont ward for many year, she promotes an interest in science to school age children.

Andrew Hickley:

Education consultant, born in Maidenhead and former Belmont Councillor.

Dave Mackay:

Retired Customs Officer, rambler and former Belmont Councillor.

 


  Bisham and Cookham

 

Mandy Brar

Cookham Rise shop owner, Parish Councillor and former Cookham Borough Councillor

Fiona Hewer

Chair of Cookham Parish Council who has done a lot to improve awareness of flood prevention in Cookham.

Andrew Nye

Andrew is a Business Executive who lives in Cookham and is a former chair of a mental health charity.

 


Boyn Hill

 

Norma Herdson

Norma has taught at most schools in Boyn Hill, is a Norden Farm trustee and former Boyn Hill Borough Councillor.

Robert Hill

London University Professor who has lived in Boyn Hill for many years.

Mike Holness

Chair of Grenfell Park User Group and former Boyn Hill Borough Councillor who volunteers at Norden Farm.

Rob Acker

Auditor, real ale enthusiast and hill walker who is concerned about the loss of funding to youth clubs.

Sheila Adams

Maths teacher interested in the arts and opportunities for young people, volunteers at Norden Farm.

Mary  Stockton

Retired teacher who has lived in Maidenhead for many years and is concerned about the future of the town centre.


Castle Without

Helen Edwards

Corporate Events Organiser and lifetime Royal Borough resident. Passionate about preserving the greenbelt.

Tom Hinds

Retired school teacher and founding member of Windsor Christian Action, the charity responsible for the Homeless.

Antony Wood

Antony has been a member of the Royal Borough cabinet and stood for the Liberal Democrats in Castle Without Ward at the last local election. Married with three grown-up kids.


Clewer South

Qualified accountant looking  to hold the Royal Borough to account. John has lived in the Clewer South Ward all his life.

Richard Fagence

Former Windsor Girls' School governor Richard was a Royal Borough councillor in the Clewer South Ward for ten years.

Accountant, bowls player and former Cox Green Borough Councillor.

Bill Black

Oil Industry Safety Consultant and former governor of Cox Green schools.

Gareth Jones

Cox Green campaigner and Parish Councillor who opposed plans for a hospital in Cannon Lane.

A lifelong Eton resident and University of Sheffield graduate, Virginia is currently training to be a lawyer in London.

Parvis Jamieson

Parvis has lived in Datchet for 12 years and works as a chartered acountant. He is a keen rower and wants to campaign for fairer taxes.

Peter Wilkinson

Peter is a member of the Royal Borough's Cycle Forum and has contributed to the Windsor Neighbourhood Plan. Has lived in the borough with his family for 32 years.

Retired resident of Hurley who is very active in the community and is a former Hurley Borough Councillor

Jenny Werner

With a young family Jenny is keen to improve facilities for children and support the schools in offering first class education

Jennifer volunteers for the Autistic Society and has lived in Maidenhead for many years.

 


Maidenhead Riverside

Local businessman who was brought up in Maidenhead and is Secretary of the Maidenhead Mosque.

Retired businessman who has lived in Maidenhead for many years and is a model aeroplane enthusiast

Retired HR Consultant and nature conservation enthusiast, who organises the annual Combined Charities Fair.

With a young family, Adam works whilst studying accountancy. He is passionate about protecting services for vulnerable people.

Graham Johnstone

Accountant interested in development of the town centre and education.

Derek Tyler

IT Manager, school governor interested in improving opportunities for children with special needs.

Amarjeet Bhamra

A Royal Borough resident since 1965, Amarjeet believes that for a fairer society we all need to put something back into the community.

Susan Hinds

Susan is a Trustee of Windsor Christian Action and actively involved with the Homeless Project. Former nurse and probation officer.


Pinkneys Green

 

Clive Baskerville

Clive was born in Maidenhead and is a local sports journalist.  He is currently a governor of Alwyn School

Simon Bond

Simon has lived in Maidenhead for 35 years, is a Neighbourhood Action Group Chair and a trustee of a local not-for-profit care home

Simon Werner

Simon was brought up in Maidenhead. As a Borough Councillor he is devoted to Pinkneys Green and wants to see Maidenhead town centre thrive
