The Queen and members of the royal family will attend a special Magna Carta 800th anniversary event at Runnymede.
Her Majesty is expected to be joined by The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of Cambridge, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence for the celebrations on Monday, June 15.
They will take place at Runnymede Meadows, where Magna Carta was sealed in 1215.
The event will include speeches, musical performances and the rededication of the American Bar Association’s Magna Carta Memorial.
A new art installation will be unveiled on the meadow.
The Magna Carta Foundation of Liberty event is a national celebration, organised by Surrey County Council and the National Trust, in association with the Magna Carta Trust’s 800th Anniversary Committee.
Her Majesty is Patron of the Magna Carta Trust, which is organising a series of anniversary events.
