Attending her first engagement, the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr Eileen Quick officially started Crown and Tiara Walk with the charity's chief executive, Jane Gates at Windsor Football Club in St Leonard's Road.
In a slight change to previous years, walkers had two routes to chose from, either a four or eight mile course which runs through Windsor Great Park.
"It was nice to see the children, kitted out in tiaras and crowns walking through the park and up to Windsor Castle," said Charlotte Bowles, communications officer at the charity.
"We had 104 walkers which is fantastic as we only had 80 people registered.
"People did not let the rain dampen their spirits."
The group, who set off at 10.30am, were also excited to see one of Windsor's most famous residents.
"People were very happy to see the Queen drive past," Charlotte added.
The walk took place on Sunday, May 31.
