The Lions Club of Windsor introduced a familiar face as its new president at a celebration dinner.
Bob Tavinor, who has already had two spells as the community group’s leader, officially replaced Richard Vaughan as president.
Since joining the Windsor Lions in 1981, Bob has been responsible for organising the club’s welfare work and big fundraising events.
He said: “I am really looking forward to my presidential year as there is always so much to be done for the folks in Windsor and the surrounding area who are in need of help.”
During his closing speech, Richard thanked all the Windsor Lions members and directors for their hard work over the past year.
He also paid tribute to the success of the group’s major fundraising events.
The events included the Windsor Great Park Horse Ride and the annual Swimathon.
The dinner was held in The Bexley Arms, Bexley Street, on Monday, July 6.
