The new president of the Windsor and Eton Inner Wheel has announced her chosen charities for the year.
The club welcomed new president Christine Heybourn at the group’s monthly meeting on July 7, where outgoing president Jean Davis passed on the chain.
Christine’s chosen charities for 2015-16 are Parkinson’s Research and People to Places.
Inner Wheel clubs are linked to Rotary Clubs and were originally set up for the wives and daughters of Rotarians, as before 1989 women were not allowed to join Rotary Clubs.
The group for women, now is in its 77th year, meets every first Tuesday at the Manor Hotel in Datchet.
