Indie chart stars Republica will play at Windsor Library’s 20th birthday party on Saturday.
The Windsor-based 90s band, who had hit singles including Ready to Go and Drop Dead Gorgeous, will join the line-up of five live performances to mark the anniversary.
The event is also part of the Windsor Fringe festival.
The library was opened on the Bachelors Acre site on September 11, 1995, a relocation from its original site on St Leonards Road and in November that year it was officially opened by Princess Anne.
The library has seen the introduction of new technology and it continues to welcome thousands of visitors.
In the last year, 142,605 visitors have walked through its doors issuing more than 142,000 items.
Cllr Claire Stretton, cabinet member for culture and communities, said: “I am really looking forward to celebrating this milestone and encourage people to come down with a blanket and picnic.”
The event is open to all the family and will kick off at 2pm in Bachelors Acre.
