Students in Slough were rockin’ all over the world at a drumming workshop on Monday.
Ex-Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich visited The Langley Academy where he taught pupils about the history of drums before all students had the chance to get involved and play percussion.
Jeff has run more than 6,500 school sessions, including one at Parlaunt Park Primary Academy last week.
His move to teaching in schools happened after he was invited to the school of his children along with other parents to talk about their job.
Schools in the area caught wind of it and asked him to come in and do the same.
It was written about in The Times’ educational supplement and people from all over the country were soon asking him to come in.
Jeff said: “It’s nice to do this because I’m inspiring the kids.
“It does work too, I’ve got emails from kids who are now drummers after I’ve been to their school.”
The drummer still performs with his new band, Triple J Trio.
