A long-serving member of the Rotary Club of Windsor and Eton has been honoured for his 50 years service as a Rotarian.
Chris Clark was joined by friends, family and fellow rotary club members at the Castle Hotel, in Windsor High Street, on Monday, September 28, as he celebrated his remarkable achievement.
District governor Fred King presented Chris with a certificate from Rotary International.
Chris, who now lives in Uxbridge, first joined the Rotary Club of Hanwell back in 1965 and became the club’s president at the age of 27. After serving Hanwell for 35 years, he joined the Rotary Club of Windsor and Eton in 2000.
He became president in 2003 and during his year in office raised £1,000 for Polio Eradication by embarking on a weight loss challenge.
He was also the driving force behind launching the club’s annual duck race which has now become one of the main events at the Royal Windsor Midsummer Fair.
