A horse had to be led to safety after falling in the river in the private area of Windsor Home Park this morning.
It was being led by a groom but lost its footing. Firefighters from Windsor Castle, Windsor and Reading came to the rescue.
A boat was used to attach a lead to the horse's bridle. It was then towed by its halter 100 yards along the river to a narrower spot under a bridge where it was able to clamber safely out.
