An emerging cooking king made history as he was crowned the youngest winner of the Rotary Young Chef competition.
Jamie Kedwards, 12, a student at LVS Ascot, took on three rival chefs in the competition which was organised by the Rotary Club of Ascot.
He wowed the judges, including Great British Bake Off star Martha Collison, with his menu which included seared scallops on a bed of elderberry risotto and a goat’s cheese cheesecake.
Judge Martha said: “The skills he has at his age are insane.
“We were only supposed to sample the meals but Jamie’s cheesecake was so good we ate it all.”
Jamie will now compete in the regional finals of the competition and has been tasked with producing a healthy three-course meal in two hours with a £15 budget.
The competition took place on Tuesday, November 10.
