Registration is still open for this year’s Thames Hospice Santa Dash and the charity is giving away two flights to New York to the highest fundraiser.
The tickets to the Big Apple, donated by BA Clubs Ltd, will be given to the person who raises the most money for the charity run which is taking place in Swinley Forest on Sunday, November 29.
With more than 400 people already registered for this year’s event, Thames Hospice is hoping to create the biggest sea of Santas to date.
Alison Evans, head of events, community and corporate fundraising at Thames Hospice, said: “The Santa Dash is a chance for people to get together and have fun during the festive period, but it’s also a way for us to raise vital funds so we can continue to run our hospice this Christmas and beyond.
“We’re sure this amazing prize will encourage our dashers to drum up as much sponsorship as they can.”
Santas of all ages and abilities can choose to walk or run the 5k Santa Dash.
For those who fancy testing their fitness, a 10k and 15k cycle route will also be on offer.
Entry for the event costs £20 for adults, £10 for under 16s and children under five go free. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £40.
All adults taking part will receive a free Santa suit and children will be given reindeer antlers and a flashing nose.
Registration opens at 9am and the race starts at 11am.
