A historic hotel in Windsor is inviting residents and guests to share their memories of a past visit.
Castle Hotel Windsor, in the High Street, has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment.
The international French hotel group, AccorHotels, which owns the MGallery by Sofitel hotel brand, identified this royal location as the perfect addition to its heritage collection and set about incorporating the location’s unique history into its design.
The Georgian-style building is on the former Mermaid Inn site, which has a lively history spanning more than 500 years, including a brewery, its own currency and a Royal warrant.
In January it will be exhibiting these finds and is eager to share stories, memories, photographs and video from the past 60 years from Windsor visitors and residents.
If you have a memory you would like to share, email guest relations manager Aaron Boardman on aaron.boardman@accor.com with the subject line ‘making a mark’.
