A manager of a Windsor care home which achieved a ‘good’ rating in its latest Care Quality Commission report has paid tribute to her staff.
The results of Sandown Park Care Home’s latest CQC inspection, which took place in November, were released on Tuesday, January 12.
Inspectors rated the home’s caring and responsive service as outstanding and special praise was also reserved for the ‘kind and generous’ staff.
Access for disabled people in certain areas of the Vale Road care home was earmarked for improvement.
The home provides care for around 80 older frail adults and people suffering from dementia.
Shahnaaz Mohamad, manager of Sandown Park Care Home, said: “We’ve got a holistic approach. Just because they have got dementia we don’t treat them any differently.
“I’ve got a great core of staff that’s been with me for a long time and that’s probably the secret of our success.”
