Today’s instalment of the Royal Windsor Horse Show has been cancelled due to flooding.
In a statement on the event’s website, organisers said rain had left public car and lorry parks unusable.
Tomorrow’s programme is expected to go on normal.
Simon Brooks-Ward, show director, said: “Obviously it is a huge disappointment for competitors and visitors that we have had to close the show today, particularly as it was Windsor Wednesday – our free entry day - and we were expecting a large number of visitors.
“However, if we can keep the car and lorry parks workable for the rest of the show we will be ready for action for the next four days.
“The main arena and the Frogmore are all-weather surfaces and the grandstands are covered so the show itself is pretty weather proof.”
The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration which has its preview evening tonight will go ahead, however the show car park will be closed and visitors are asked to use town car parks.
