An insight into life as a soldier was given to children at the Windsor and Royal Borough Museum this week.
As part of the museum’s holiday club and in partnership with Windsor Library, the ‘Be a Soldier for the Day’ event took place on Tuesday in Windsor Guildhall.
Youngsters also had the chance to try on various uniform attire, including the Blues and Royals uniform, the bearskin and the Order of the Garter cloak and trumpet.
The event aimed to highlight the military history of the town and ran alongside a miniature display of the Household Cavalry which remains on display in Windsor Library.
