A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being attacked at a petrol station in Burnham Lane.
Police officers were called to Shell Garage, near Burnham Railway Station, just before 1.45am on Tuesday.
A police cordon has been in place while the force investigates the attack.
A statement from Thames Valley Police said: “We received report of an assault that occurred just before 1.45am yesterday (Tuesday) in Burnham Lane, Slough.
“A woman sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital at this time.
“Officers are conducting a thorough investigation and ask anyone with information, or if they saw anyone in the area acting suspiciously, to contact police.
“There is a cordon in the Shell Garage, and we would like to thank the public for their cooperation while officers carry out enquiries.”
