A CHARITY shopping and summer lunch was held at the Oratory School in Woodcote.
This was in aid of the Ruth Strauss Foundation, which supports children facing the death of a parent due to cancer.
About 120 guests shopped at the stalls and had lunch served with the help of the school's lower sixth-form students.
Former England cricketer Angus Fraser, a trustee of the foundation, was the guest speaker.
Event organiser Nicky Moran said: “We are proud to be supporting such an amazing charity.
“I’d like to thank all the guests who supported this event by making purchases and enjoying lunch, the lovely local businesses that provided stalls, our wonderful Oratory staff and catering team and our students who got involved.
“We have had such positive feedback from all involved and would love to host this event again next year.”
The foundation was started by former England captain Andrew Strauss in 2019 following the death of his wife Ruth.
It aims to educate and fund more research into non smoking-related lung cancer.
