HENLEY Quakers is holding a candle-lit meeting for worship at the Friends Meeting House in Northfield End on Christmas Eve.

The event, from 4pm to 4.45pm, offers a time to reflect on what Christmas means personally and collectively.

A spokeswoman said: “The candles in the room symbolise the inner light of the spirit in each person, reminding us that we are all connected, children of God.”

All are welcome to attend.

John Radley – he was injured during an IRA nail bomb attack and served in the 1st Battalion Irish Guards – he says there is no recognition for injured service personnel who are not on operational deployment. He is campaigning to Government for award medals to be given.
