Marlow will see a series of road closures on Sunday, December 7 as thousands of runners take part in this year’s Santas Fun Run.
Several key roads will be shut throughout the morning to allow the event to pass safely. The closures are expected to run as follows:
Marlow Bridge and High Street: 9.20am to around 11am
Spittal Street: 9.20am to around 10am
Glade Road: 9.20am to around 10.30am
Station Road, Dedmere Road, Fieldhouse Lane, Westhorpe Road and Wiltshire Road: 9.20am to around 10.30am
Parkway: open throughout, but drivers should proceed with care
Fieldhouse Lane, Lock Road, Mill Road, Station Road and the return crossing of High Street: 9.30am to around 11am
The timings may change slightly depending on runner progress. Around 2,500 letters have been delivered to affected addresses, and the information is also being shared on social media. A map of the full route is available at:

The event has sold out its full capacity of 3,000 runners. Participants will gather in Higginson Park from about 8am before walking to High Street at 9.20am for a 9.30am start.
The fastest runners are usually back by around 9.50am, with most completing the course by around 11am.
Last year’s run raised more than £95,000 for local charities, and organisers hope to exceed that total this year.
