A travel agency in Maidenhead looks set to take over the former Laurents Bakehouse unit on the High Street.
Independent travel agency Hays Travel has been located in the Nicholsons Centre since taking over the former Thomas Cook unit in 2019.
However, according to a recent letter from KLM to Nicholsons Centre tenants, they are ‘currently intending to close the shopping centre in early June', ahead the demolition and re-development of the site.
Posters have recently gone up at the site of the former Bakehouse at 33 High Street, stating that a Hays Travel branch is 'opening soon'.
The French-inspired bakery, which offered sweet treats, pastries, sandwiches, salads and drinks, closed its doors last year.
A spokesperson for Hays Travel said that 'refit work has started' at the site.
An opening date is yet to be announced.
