Spread Christmas cheer this year with quality artisan food, scrumptious festive fayre or yummy, indulgent treats from The Royal Farms Windsor Farm Shop.
Whether you are looking for meaningful gifts, with that homemade touch, or ordering an organic turkey from the butchery department, it’s all here in the Farm Shop.
It’s easy to find this slice of festive gourmet heaven, being just a short distance away from the beautiful scenery of the Great Park and historic surroundings of Windsor Castle, situated on the edge of Home Park.
Since turning the Victorian potting shed into two new buildings in 2001 the Royal Farms Windsor Farm Shop and Coffee Shop have been serving local residents and visitors with locally sourced goods and produce.
It’s the butchery department that the Farm Shop customers rate for quality and satisfaction knowing that all the meat comes from animals reared on the Crown Estate and private, Home Park.
All beef, pork and lamb have been naturally fed and are traceable to the Royal Farms where they have been reared.
The friendly, fully qualified butchers are always ready to share expertise and give you helpful advice if you are planning a Christmas banquet. For example, take a look at its pure bred Sussex beef, which has been matured for a minimum of 21 days in order to maximise maturity, tenderness and flavour.
All sausages are own-made from the Royal Farms pork. It’s good to know too that all of its 600 pigs, that pass through the butchery each year, have been reared outside during the summer months giving them increased immunity which is then passed on to their piglets.
If the buzz of festive preparation is taking its toll, take a break in the Coffee Shop with a healthy salad or a freshly prepared sandwich, using meat fillings from the butchery and deli or boost your energy with a cheeky treat from its vast selection of cakes, cream teas and fresh cream patisseries enjoyed with a hot beverage. You will find the same products and produce, including pies, pasties and quiches, in both the Coffee Shop and Farm Shop, giving you the chance to try and buy, before taking the delicious goods home.
