Windsor remain just five points behind leaders Oxford Harlequins in the race for the Counties 1 Tribute Southern North title, however, they'll likely need one or two unexpected slips from Quins if they're to catch in the remaining games.

Windsor's game at home to Grove didn't go ahead on Saturday, however, Andy Symons' side have been awarded five points and a home win to take them up to 80 points from 18 matches.

It would appear the league's bottom side were unable to fulfil the fixture. They hammered Grove away from home earlier in the season, defeating them 83-0.

They've lost only two of those matches this season - at home to Buckingham in September and away to Quins in October. They did get their revenge on Quins in January - edging them 22-17 at Home Park - however, they still have five points to make up and they also have an inferior points difference going into their final four matches.

There are some tough games to come for Symons' side if they're to keep pace with Quins - and potentially take one of the best runners up spots in the region for their level and earn promotion.

On March 1, they visit fourth placed Bletchley before hosting third placed Chinnor 3rds on March 8. Should they come through those tests unscathed they'll visit Wallingford on March 22 before rounding off the season at home to Reading Abbey on April 5.

Once the season concludes, Windsor will enter the Counties 1 Championship cup competition with a first-round match at Brunel University on Saturday, April 12.

For the third game in a row, Marlow were beaten by just a handful of points as Kev O'Byrne's side lost 24-29 at home to Hemel Hempstead at Riverwoods.

After a positive period - which saw Marlow get the better of league leaders London Scottish Lions as they won five matches from six - the side have fallen into a bit of a rut of late, losing their last three against Belsize Park, Teddington and Hemel Hempstead.

They quite conceivably could have won all three, going down by two points at home to Belsize Park in a 10-12 defeat and by one point in a 27-28 thriller against Teddington, also at Riverwoods.

And home form appears to have deserted the first XV for the time being as they also lost 24-29 to Hemel this Saturday - again finishing within a converted score of victory.

The results leave them down in ninth place ahead of their next game, a tricky test at home to H.A.C this week.

With five matches to play they could still finish as high as fifth with a strong finish, although they probably still need one victory to ward off the lingering threat of relegation.
