The annual Spring Walk saw more than 75 fundraisers walk as far as Windsor in aid of Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP) on Saturday.
Now in its 14th year, the walk sees fundraisers get sponsored to walk five, ten or 15 miles to raise money for the popular playground on Bath Road.
The playground which is designed for children and adults with special needs costs around £350,000 to run each year.
Nicky Hutchinson, donations manager at TVAP said: “It was a brilliant day for it, not too hot and not too cold.
“There were blue skies and the leaves were blossoming, it was brilliant.
"We have quite a few returners that do the walk every year and it’s great that the walk is so popular.
“Fundraising for the playground is absolutely crucial, it costs £350,000 to run each year and less than five percent of that is from local authority grants.
“We’re incredibly thankful of our supporters.”
Organiser’s are hoping that £10,000 can be raised from the event.
Walkers were also able to enter their snaps from the walk into the Pictures From The Path competition, judged by the Advertiser’s chief photographer Matthew Phillips.
