A history group is running its open day this coming Saturday with free entry and refreshments.
The Windsor Local History Group (WLHG) open day is running on November 4 from 11am to 4pm at Windsor Baptist Church on Victoria Street.
Visitors will have a chance to engage with the remarkable heritage of Windsor and surrounding communities.
This event made a ‘highly successful’ return last year, post-pandemic.
Maps, drawings, photographs, letters, slides and videos reveal the evolution of local towns and villages.
The aim is to provide inspiration to learn more about these communities – some of which date back to Saxon and early Norman times.
Back issues of the ‘Windlesora’ history magazine, together with local reference books and a range of related WLHG publications, will also be on sale.
The organisers say visitors should feel free to bring their own artefacts, memorabilia and stories to share.
