The second instalment of an Arts Council England funded project by Jon Lockhart will explore museum display, objects and the audiences that interact with them.
The year long project explores people's relationship with museum artefacts.
Jon will work directly with visitors during open sessions to shape the content of the exhibition.
Crippling the Blacksmith are designed to make the observer interpret everyday items differently through their placement in the gallery and in relation to each other.
Much of his work is concerned with the relationship between machine and hand, with the additional use of sound, digital mechanics, graphics and design.
Jon Lockhart's Crippling the Blacksmith is at South Hill Park from Sunday, April 22 to Friday, May 16.
