A contemporary adaptation of the musical of the same name - this is the third film adaptation after the 1982 theatrical film and the 1999 made-for-television film.
Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they would be back for her someday, it has been a hard knock life ever since for Annie living in New York with her mean foster mum Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz)
But everything is about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in.
