A house fire in Ascot brought four fire engines and teams out at about 9pm yesterday evening (June 18).
Firefighters at Slough Fire Station got the call at about 9pm that a derelict building was ablaze in Charters Road, Sunningdale.
It was a large fire – the cause for which is unknown at this time – and caused a lot of damage.
Slough fire teams told the Express that the building was heavily damaged and had burned to the ground.
Crews stopped the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties and were on the scene extinguishing it for about three hours, until midnight.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire.
It was a busy night for Slough Fire Station, as they also attended a major incident in Poyle just two hours later.
A large blaze at Poyle Industrial Estate kept firefighters battling the blaze all night, from the small hours of the morning until at least 8am. Read more here.
