Seven children were injured after two cars crashed and one careered onto the pavement near the gates of a school in Slough.
One of the children needed hospital treatment for injuries caused by the crash, which took place outside Westgate School at around 3.25pm on Wednesday.
Police said the drivers of a red Hyundai and a black Audi crashed into each other in Cippenham Lane, causing the Hyundai to hit a number of schoolchildren walking on the pavement.
No arrests have been made and an appeal for witnesses has been issued.
Investigating officer PC Mark Drewett, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area to check dash cam or CCTV footage, as even the smallest detail could be vital to our investigation.
“If you witnessed the collision, have information, or hold any digital media that might help, please call 101 or submit a report via our website, quoting reference number 43250591156."
