The Human League will be playing the main stage on Saturday night
THE Human League and The Proclaimers will headline this year’s Rewind Festival in Henley.
The 17th edition of the retro-pop festival will take place at Temple Island Meadows in Remenham from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August.
The line-up for the festival was announced today, with tickets to go on sale from 9am on Friday.
The Human League, which rose to fame with Don’t You Want Me, will headline the main stage on Saturday night.
The English synthpop band returns to the festival after appearing in 2022.
Scottish rock duo The Proclaimers will headline Sunday night ahead of their UK tour kicking off in October.
It is the first time the band behind Eighties hits I’m Gonne Be (500 miles) and I’m On My Way will perform at the festival.
On Saturday, the main stage show will be compèred by Jenny Powell, of Greatest Hits Radio.
Other acts include Brit-award winner Kim Wilde, synthpop band Blancmange, and Back to Life duo Soul II Soul.
Roland Gift, former frontman of Fine Young Cannibals, will perform the band’s hits including Good Thing and Suspicious Minds.
English rock band Toploader will also take to the stage. The band is best known for its 2000 cover of King Harvest’s Dancing in the Moonlight.
Clive Jackson, also known as The Doctor from Dr and the Medics, will compère the main stage on Sunday.
Performing on the Sunday night will be returning acts Tony Hadley, the former lead vocalist of Spandau Ballet, and Nik Kershaw, who is best known for his hit I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.
Tunde, the former lead singer of The Lighthouse Family, is also returning to the festival, along with The Beat, featuring Ranking Jnr, the son of late bandmember Ranking Roger.
The band is known for Mirror in the Bathroom and Hands Off… She’s Mine.
Peter Andre, known for Mysterious Girl and breakout song Gimme Little Sign, is set to appear for the first time, as well as pop band Dodgy, after releasing music for the first time in 10 years in September.
The band found success in the Nineties with its single Good Enough.
At the festival grounds there will be glamping, funfair rides, fireworks, street food and entertainers, shops and stalls with jewellery and clothes, a silent disco and a kids’ zone.
The inflatable church, where festival-goers can get “married”, and the Pink Flamingo Club will also return this year.
