Burnham and Windsor & Eton will be competing alongside each other in the Combined Counties Premier Division North next season, and both clubs announced new signings this week.
The Blues just missed out on a place in the play-offs under new management team Mo and Omar Bakali last season but will be hoping the arrival of striker Jordan Antonio Brown can help them in their quest for a top five finish this time around.
Brown, 28, brings a wealth of experience to the 1878 Stadium, having developed his game at the youth academies of Arsenal and West Ham United.
He has since had notable spells on different continents, playing for Cavalry FC in the Canadian Premier League and, slightly closer to home, at Northwood and Egham Town.
His pace and clinical finishing, allied to his work rate and attacking flair have made him a fans favourite at most of the clubs he’s played for.
Most recently, he has been in the spotlight once again, playing under the legendary Luis Figo for Trebol FC in the Baller League UK.
Burnham’s joint manager Omz Bakali said: “Jordan is a player of real quality who has performed at a high level. His experience and character will be a huge asset to the squad.”
Brown will be looking to replace the goals of last season’s top scorer Jabir Laraba who has announced he’s to move on this summer.
Laraba scored 25 goals for the Blues last season.
Posting on X, he said: “After 3 enjoyable seasons at Burnham it’s time for me to move on.
“I’d like to thank every single person at the club for everything. You’ve been amazing on and off the pitch. Wishing the club nothing but the best!
“Look forward to seeing what comes next.”
Over at Stag Meadow, new league rivals Windsor & Eton have also been strengthening ahead of their move to step five.
Last season’s top scorer Pawel Kowalkowski has signed again for the new season having netted an incredible 42 goals for Matty Angell’s title-winning side.
Midfielder Alex Donville has also joined the club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Donville - or AD as he’s better known - progressed through the youth ranks at Reading and played against Windsor & Eton for Wokingham Town in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup last season.
Manager Angell is thrilled to have signed the player.
“AD is someone that I spotted in a friendly against Woodley a couple of years back. He’s got a great footballing background having spent a number of years at Reading FC. He will bring a lot to the group and create that creative spark we sometimes looked for last season. Really pleased to have him join the group for sure.”
Donville added: “This club and management team are building something special and I’m so excited to be a part of it. I can’t wait for the season to get underway.”
