FA CUP: Flackwell Heath vs Bracknell Town

FULL-TIME: Flackwell Heath 1, Bracknell Town 1

Bracknell will be kicking themselves that they didn't see that game out after taking a second half lead through Pavey's header. But Flackwell hit back through their substitute Connor Young in the closing stages and might have won it at the end with a gilt edged chance for Matty Ayres! We go to a replay at Bottom Meadow on Tuesday.

90' Chance for Flackwell to swing another set piece into the box. Mepham puts in a brilliant ball but it's flicked behind for a corner.

90' BIG CHANCE! Matty Ayres side-foots wide left footed with seemingly the goal at his mercy. That felt like a big moment and no one inside Wilks Park can believe he's put it wide. 1-1

90' Lewis Pegg with a chance to win it for Flackwell but he can't get hold of the shot after the ball is pulled back Jamie Ayres. 1-1

88' The hosts are really pushing now. They have their tails up and are looking to snatch a late winner. five minutes added on. 1-1

87' Matthew Ayres is nudged over in the box and there are big calls for a penalty. But there probably wasn't enough to give it. 1-1

86' Bracknell are trying to respond, but Flackwell now have their tails up and may look to sneak something in the final minutes. If neither side is able to find a winner this game will go to a replay at Bottom Meadow on Tuesday evening.

81' GOAL FLACKWELL! Equaliser for the hosts as Connor Young turns the ball home from close range. 1-1

Flackwell had just started to play with a bit more purpose and that is their reward. Jack Shakespeare was well involved cutting the ball back for a shot that was blocked and Young was first to react!

77' Connor Young replaces Harlem Hale. Hale has been in good form for the Heathens of late but today wasn't one of his better games. Everyone in red has found it difficult though. 0-1

76' Time starting to tick by for Flackwell. Bracknell have taken the sting out of this game. They've just forced another corner through good play from Joe Grant. 0-1

72' Bracknell still controlling this tie and look the more likely to extend their lead. Flackwell have offered very little in an attacking sense in this half - and the whole game to be fair. Shakespeare's introduction has given them a bit more energy going forward but they've created nothing apart from the penalty shout for Hale. 0-1

69' Bracknell have the chance to play in Amartey on the left but the pass is overhit and runs out of play. 0-1

67' Charlie Street replaces George Franklin and Haydon Vaughan comes on for Ody Alfa for the visitors.

Bracknell players celebrate their opener.

66' Michael Bampoh replaces Ben Stallard for the Heathens. 0-1

65' Hale looks like he's tripped while running onto the ball in the area, but the referee points for a goalkick. Looked like a penalty to me, but there was no great appeal from the players or the Flackwell coaching team to be fair. 0-1

Despite their solid start in the league, it's clear Flackwell are going through a bit of a transition period. They look like they're missing the cutting edge that Wiktor Makowski, Michael Harding and Jethro Odumosu provided. Harlem Hale has shown in flashes today but he's been too isolated, Hopefully Shakespeare's introduction will change that. 0-1

60' Flackwell make a change. Charlie Bacon is replaced by Jack Shakespeare

57' Alfie Pavey has just chested a long ball down and pulled his teammates into play. Excellent centre forward play. He's really impressed me today. Has scored one and had another -backheeled finish - chalked offside. 0-1

55' Even at this early stage of the second half, you feel Flackwell need to make a change or two to get back into this. Bracknell currently looking very comfortable and there's no real intensity coming from the Flackwell players or the crowd. It's pretty flat right now. 0-1

52' Will be really interesting to see how Flackwell respond to this. They've not played too well today by their own standards. They lost Pavey for Bracknell's goal but the striker did well to loop his header back across the advancing Brooker and into the empty net.

49' BRACKNELL LEAD: Alfie Pavey loops a header over Brooker from Francis Amartey's left-wing cross. That was so simple. 0-1

Flackwell will need to be a bit more physical and show a little more quality when on the ball to overcome their visitors. 0-0

Back underway at Wilks Park. Flackwell now attacking from left to right in front of us. They'll hope for an improved display in the second half having been largely second best in the first 45. 0-0

Half-time: Flackwell Heath 0, Bracknell Town 0

Bracknell Town have had the edge in the first 45 minutes and carved out the game's better chances for Ody Alfa, Alfie Pavey and Francis Amartey. But the hosts are very much in this and have caused a few moments of concern for the Robins defensively, most often on the break.

45' A corner at both ends in the space of 60 seconds. First one for Bracknell reaches Pavey at the back of the box, he nods it into the area but the hosts are able to clear.

Flackwell then force one of their own through Bacon. The ball is swept in from the right and Mapley rises high at the back post but heads the ball over the bar. 0-0

Four minutes of added time.

44' Flackwell break well through Ben Stallard and Matty Ayres and Charlie Bacon advances on the Bracknell box. He chances his arm from the edge of the box and it's deflected up and over to Michael Eacott who takes the ball pretty comfortably. 0-0

40' Patrick is off and it's prompted a switch-around for the hosts with Ryan Avery coming across from right back to left back.

39' Good to see the Flackwell backroom team taking their time with him to ensure he's ok. He's back on his feet but doesn't look like he'll play any further part. 0-0

Sean McGuinness comes on to replace Patrick.

38' Lewis Patrick is down receiving treatment for Flackwell. He asked for his inhaler earlier in the game so hopefully he's ok. 0-0

35' Flackwell's Ben Stallard has been on the periphery so far. The hosts will be keen to get him more involved but Bracknell doing a good job on him so far. 0-0

32' The Bracknell view of the opening half hour...

30' Flackwell have fallen into a low block and have done pretty well defensively. Callum Mapley has headed and kicked away plenty of Bracknell crosses. They've just broken well through Harlem Hale, who's been quiet so far. He fed Ayres on the left and cut inside before delivering a decent cross into the box, but there was no one in red able to get on the end of it. 0-0

28' Approaching the half hour mark and this tie is still goalless. Bracknell have come the closest with Pavey backheeling the ball into the net - only to see the linesman's flag raised - and Amartey seeing a goalbound shot deflected wide. 0-0

23' Flackwell force a corner after good work from Jamie Ayres who skips past his man in the box and pulls it back only for the Robins to hack behind. 0-0

22' I know there's a difference in levels between the sides, but Bracknell don't look like a side that's struggling for form and currently bottom of the Premier South. They've played well so far.

21' CHANCE! Bracknell come close again after a quick break. Francis Amartey cuts inside his man and gets a shot away but it's deflected behind by a Flackwell player. Brooker comes out to take the corner kick quite comfortably! 0-0

20' Flackwell, when they do get possession, looking to hit the ball quickly over the top for Harlem Hale or Jamie Ayres. 0-0

18' Flackwell have been chasing shadows for the past five minutes. Bracknell starting to take control of this cup tie after an even start. 0-0

15' Sloppy from Flackwell and Bracknell's Joe Grant is in to make the challenge. Pavey plays the ball on for Ody Alfa whose deflected left footed shot is well saved by Avery down to his left. The sting was taken out of Alfa's shot by the attempted block. 0-0

13' OFFSIDE: Bracknell have the ball in the net from a really cheeky backheeled finish from Alfie Pavey, but the linesman has raised his flag. Looked very close! Francis Amartey with the cross into him. 0-0

12' An even start here. Bracknell with a spell of possession now but aside from a blocked shot from Joe Grant, they have little to show for their efforts 0-0

8' The ball is half cleared by Bracknell following a ball into the box and Jamie Ayres, on the turn, fires over the angle of post and bar. A good response from the hosts. 0-0

6' Flackwell finally managed to calm the game down and they work the ball well down the left to force a free kick. Matt Ayres whips it in but he can't beat the first man and Bracknell are able to clear. They remain under pressure though with the Heathens swinging three or four balls into their area. Backs to the wall stuff from Bracknell right now. 0-0

3' Bracknell immediately on the attack. They're controlling possession so far and have just forced the first corner, which came to nothing thanks to a good take from the Flackwell keeper Jack Brooker  0-0

1' This game is underway, with Bracknell - in blue and black stripes like Inter Milan - kicking from left to right from the dug outs. Flackwell are in all red.

The players are out. Before kick off there has been a minute's silence in memory of Billy Vigar who tragically passed away last weekend playing for Chichester City, a similar level to the one these teams are playing at.

Flackwell will be hoping to cause another upset in the competition. Manager Chris Ayres says their standout performances this season have been in the competition and he'll hope that continues

Welcome to Wilks Park where Southern League Central Division side Flackwell Heath take on local rivals Bracknell Town - who play a level above them in the Southern League Premier South.

The Heathens are unbeaten so far this campaign and sit seventh in the table, however, they could have been top had they won this week's league matches against Leverstock Green and Enfield.

In the cup, they've had a couple of stand out displays against Lewes, who they beat 2-1 here at Wilks Park, and Soul Tower Hamlets, who they beat 2-0 away in the shadow of Canary Wharf in London

Bracknell have had a poor start to the season and recently changed their manager, with Jordan Ive departing and Matt Saunders taking his place. They sit bottom of their table but have progressed well so far in the FA Cup and will be hoping to do so again today.
