A REMARKABLE accident happened in Bell Street on Wednesday shortly after midday. A gentleman was driving a car in the direction of the cross and the sun was so glaring he could hardly see. In passing, his front wheel struck the hub of the wheel of a putt cart which had the effect of knocking his steering gear out of action. The car then mounted the pavement and crashed into a ladies’ bicycle.

He will be much missed, especially in recreation at the school, where his keen knowledge of football and cricket has been most helpful.
