A CHURCH fair in Woodcote raised a record profit of £2,200.
St Leonard’s Church held the annual event in the village hall on Saturday, November 8.
Visitors browsed and bought a variety of goods, including gifts, crafts, jewellery, cakes and books.
Stalls were brightly decorated and stall-holders wore Christmas hats, jumpers and earrings.
Tea, coffee and biscuits were served in an adjacent room so visitors to catch up with their friends. The organising committee thanked everyone who attended. In a statement they said: “Thank you to all who came, and hope that you enjoyed yourselves.
“Lots of people help to put on an event like this, so thank you to everyone who made or donated items, those who helped to set up and staff the stalls and those who provided essential cups of tea and cleared up — there is a fantastic community spirit in Woodcote.”
The money will go towards the general running costs and maintenance of the church.
