Sir, — This place is going to the dogs! On joining the roundabout between St Andrew’s Road and Wootton Road in Henley, I was horrified to see this.
A cobble stone had been dislodged from the edge of the roundabout, probably by a large truck. It had pushed the stone up on to the edge. And on the top of it, a dog had done its business. (Quite artfully if I may say so.) Then some wise guy had planted a sign next to it. As if the potholes weren’t enough to put drivers’ teeth on edge! — Yours faithfully,
R Stanier
